1inch Network sponsors crypto-themed animated NFT series
1inch, the decentralized exchange aggregator, has partnered with an animated series based on the backdrop of Silicon Valley.
In an announcement on Friday, 1inch formally announced that it would be sponsoring an NFT series Take My Muffin, in addition to technical assistance for its production. The step is an endeavour to introduce its team to the DeFi space.
Take My Muffin, scheduled for release in 2022, follows the exploits of a team of creatures who try getting startup projects off the shelf with blockchain technology and some typical wackiness of the Silicon Valley techies.
1inch co-founder Anton Bukov said that the series was thought, written and ideated wholly by the crypto community, so it is actually “the first crypto-funded animated series.”
Sergey Maslennikov, chief communications officer, said he plans to integrate the exchange into the show’s plot, right from the first episode. There will also be merchandise and events for the show.
Amid the popularity of NFTs, several crypto users have shown interest in NFT animated series. Although it had a false start in July, about 10,420 Stoner Cats NFTs that granted access to anime, had sold out within an hour. Besides, Fox Broadcasting Company has also recently announced its collaboration with the creator of Rick and Morty for developing an animated series “curated entirely on the Blockchain.”
