Actor Matt Damon features in Crypto.com global advertisement

 

Crypto.com, the cryptocurrency exchange, is reportedly rolling out a new advertisement featuring Hollywood star Matt Damon, for its global consumers.

 

 

The advertisement starring, Matt Damon, is titled the “fortune favours the brave” amid a digital landscape surrounded by historical figures, including the Wright brothers, Sir Edmund Hillary, etc., aims to reach the potential global audience of crypto users and investors. 

 

 

According to Crypto.com, the advertisement would appear on billboards and television spots worldwide, to be included in its portfolio of partnerships with major sports franchises and organizations.

 

 

The announcement has made it to the news at the same time as Crypto.com has reported to have donated $1 million to Water.org, a clean water project co-founded by Damon and Gary White in the year 2009. 

 

 

The actor has said the Crypto.com’s commitment to empowering people globally with the necessary tools needed “to take control of their futures”, aligns with Damon’s goals.

 

Winner of an Academy Award and two Global Globes, Matt Damon, is arguably one of the biggest celebrities to attach his name behind a cryptocurrency exchange.

 

On October 19, Singer Mariah Carey has also announced that she would be partnering with crypto exchange Gemini for boosting mainstream Bitcoin adoption.

 

 

Established in 2016, Crypto.com has emerged as one of the fastest-growing firms in the digital asset management space. The exchange had started out by offering its customers a crypto-focused Visa card with payout rewards for staking its native Crypto.com Coin (CRO). 

 

The company has also made extensive expansions in its insurance program to cover up to $750 million for its user base of 10 million, thus reflecting their highly secure consumer protection standards.

 

A report by Cointelegraph in September 2021 reveals that almost half of Americans among the survey of 2,200 respondents said they would consider digital asset investments if they “were endorsed by a celebrity.”
