The famous video game publishing company behind the popular video game Fortnite has announced that they have been able to complete a 2 billion funding round that will help them accelerate their company vision to create their mark on the metaverse. This new deal which is yet to be approved by the customary regulatory authority, will increase the valuation of the company by 31.5 billion US dollars.
The first round includes a 1 billion investment made by the Sony Group Corporation and the company behind LEGO, KIRKBI. In April of the previous year, Sony invested US 200 million dollars into Epic Games.
The three partners are planning to contribute and combine their technologies in order to create the perfect future for entertainment while developing digital fan experiences and new virtual reality productions in both gaming and sports.
