Forbes annual list: Crypto Billionaire increases by 60 percent in a year

Since last year the number of people who have made a fortune using cryptocurrency has substantially increased while the Forbes crypto billionaire list has been updated. The total number of billionaires in the crypto elite list is now at 19, seven more than the previous year, and the list has expanded by 58 percent.

The publishing company has released its crypto billionaire’s list on April 5, but as per the magazine company, the king of the crypto industry has not changed at all. The founder and the chief executive officer of Binance, Changpeng Zhao “CZ”, is the richest man in the crypto industry and also the number 19 richest person in the world due to his newly acquired wealth.

Although Forbes claims that CZ’s fortune has decreased from the estimated US 96 billion dollars last year to the current estimation of US 65 billion dollars in the current year, but this decrease in wealth does not take away his title of being the most affluent person in the crypto industry.

The second spot on the crypto billionaire list is occupied by the founder and CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, who is also considered the “Crypto Robin Hood” of the crypto industry. His estimated net worth has been calculated to be US 24 billion dollars. He has repeatedly commented that he wants to give away his fortune to the underprivileged, but with 24 billion US dollars, he still has not been able to do so.

The third place is occupied by the founder and CEO of the company Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, with a total wealth of 6.6 billion. With a total wealth of around 4 billion, the list also includes Gemini’s Winklevoss twins and Ripple’s Chris Larsen.

Among the newcomers on the Forbes crypto billionaire list, FTX co-founder and chief technology officer Gary Wang is one among many with a net worth of 5.6 billion dollars and a 16 percent stake in his company.
