Meta joins COPA to help in advancing Web3 and DeFi applications
The open-source development and the eccentric transparency ethos of the crypto industry since its inception are the most profound achievements of this technology. The fact behind this statement can be evidently found from the example where lots of prominent projects that are part of either Decentralised finance (DeFi) or digital asset sector are mostly derived from primary projects such as SushiSwap, Bitcoin cash etc.
To further promote the open-source development of this technology, a group was formed, which is currently known as Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA). This particular group promotes the advancement of blockchain technology by eliminating the patents which are hindering the growth and development of this technology. And right now, Meta (formerly known as Facebook) has joined the group.
After the failed experiment with Diem, Meta has been able to successfully shift its focus to something else. But they still want to continue in this field and bring out the best of this technology. They are still heavily interested in Defi and Web3 applications. This way, the development of DeFi will bring more valuable information and data to further enhance the development of this technology.
