Sophia AI humanoid to be tokenized for Metaverse casting

Sophia, the globally famous artificial intelligence (AI) robot, is slated for tokenization in what is deemed as a virtual anime version of the humanoid, as a part of an upcoming Metaverse project titled “Noah’s Ark.” 

Sophia had been developed by Hong Kong’s Hansen Robotics firm back in 2016. The robot is popular worldwide due to her excellent conversation skills and eloquent speaking ability. In the first five years of Sophia’s creation, she had been addressing the United Nations and had obtained Saudi citizenship.

Earlier in December, Jeanne Lim had launched a virtual anime version of “Sophia beingAI” for her new company beingAI, under a co-branding partnership and perpetual licensing. Lim is the Co-creator of the humanoid and former CEO of Hansen Robotics.

According to the December 7 announcement, beingAI has collaborated with intelligent nonfungible token (iNFT) production agency Alethea AI for launching 100 iNFTs featuring Sophia beingAI on the NFT marketplace of Binance, in an Intelligent IGO (Initial Game Offering) scheduled for December 16.

The auction would be taking place for five days, where twenty iNFTs would be released each day until its conclusion on December 21.

The term iNFT is a new coinage in the crypto sector that refers to revolutionary NFTs embedded with intelligence through AI personality that enhances programmability into their immutable smart contracts. These intelligent NFTs are enabled to interact in real-time with people within gamified environments autonomously.

The collection has been named “The Transmedia Universe of Sophia beingAI”. As part of the collaboration, the proposed 100 iNFTs would be supported in Alethea AI’s decentralized Metaverse project called Noah’s Ark.

Comic Artist Pat Lee is illustrating the collection. He has previously worked with Marvel Comics and DC Comics on franchises like Batman, Ironman, Superman, and Spiderman. 

Alethea AI had unveiled Noah’s Ark in October of this year, and is aimed at its Metaverse being “inhabited by interactive and intelligent NFTs.” 

Lim stated that they hope Sophia beingAI would “bring together humanity and technology” for helping humans “attain their true nature of unconditional love and pure possibilities.”

This is not the first instance Sophia has been involved in the NFT space. In March 2021, Sophia had held an NFT auction through the Nifty Gateway platform.

In a highly acclaimed speech at the Future Investment Initiative Conference in 2017, Sophia had demonstrated that she could portray emotions by making faces that were happy, angry or sad. In 2019, Sophia had also stated that she knew what cryptocurrencies were but hadn’t been owning any at that time.
